Children's Sabbath
This is an observance promoted by the Children's Defense Fund.
At Church of the Redeemer, this is not a service put on by the children.
It is one in which we recognize the ways our children and youth are blessings to us.
We also take time to remember and lift up the gifts and needs of all the children of the world.
It is often said that the children and youth are the "church of tomorrow".
But that is incorrect, they are a vibrant part of our congregation today
and they offer us tangible reminders of the way in which Christ calls us to live.
We are all called "to come as a little child."
